Common questions about studying abroad from Pakistan
Who is DSA — DownTown Study Abroad Consultant?
DSA is a study abroad and student visa consultancy based at Office 252, Block C, Main Market, Royal Palm City, Gujranwala. Founded by Abubakar Sarfraz, the office handles counseling, university admissions, funding documentation, visa filing and interview preparation for the UK, USA, Australia, Canada and Europe.
Where exactly is your office and when are you open?
Office 252, Block C, Main Market, Royal Palm City, Gujranwala, Punjab 52250. We are open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 19:00 PKT. Walk-ins are welcome, but an appointment on WhatsApp (+92 306 6100435) means your counselor has your file ready before you arrive.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. Your first profile assessment — reviewing your qualifications, grades, English test status, budget and target country — costs nothing. You only decide about paid processing after you have seen a written plan and quotation.
How much do your services cost?
Fees depend on the country, number of applications and how much documentation support you need, so we issue a written quotation after the assessment instead of quoting a single number. University application fees, English test fees, embassy and visa fees are always paid by you directly to those bodies.
Which countries do you process student visas for?
The United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Canada and Europe — including Germany, Italy and Turkey. We will tell you honestly if your profile is stronger for one country than another.
Do I need IELTS or PTE to apply?
Not always. Many universities accept PTE, TOEFL, their own English tests, or a Medium of Instruction letter, and some visa routes have different English requirements from the university itself. We check the exact requirement for each university on your shortlist before you book a test.
My visa was refused before. Can you still help?
Yes. Bring the refusal letter. We read the exact refusal grounds, identify whether the problem was financial evidence, credibility, documentation or course choice, and rebuild the case before re-filing. We will also tell you if waiting one intake would make the application stronger.
Do you help students who live outside Gujranwala?
Students travel to us from Gujrat, Sialkot, Wazirabad, Kamoke, Hafizabad and Lahore, and we run full counseling and document review on WhatsApp for anyone who cannot come in person.
How long does the whole process take?
As a general guide, allow around six months from first meeting to departure: several weeks for admissions and offer letters, time to arrange and mature funds, then the visa application and decision. Timelines vary by country and intake, which is why we build a dated plan for your specific case.
Can my parents or family sponsor me?
Yes, parents, siblings and in many cases other close relatives can sponsor you. What matters is that the funds are genuinely theirs, that their income can be explained with tax, business or salary evidence, and that the money has been held for the period the embassy requires.
Do you guarantee a visa?
No honest consultant can. The decision belongs to the embassy. What we control is the quality of the application: correct course choice, verifiable finances, a credible statement of purpose and thorough interview preparation.
